Summertime on the mountain is beautiful with average temperatures in the 70's and a host of world-class activities to enjoy all season long. From thrill seeking class IV whitewater on the Deschutes River to a relaxing stroll through town shopping, you'll find yourself in the center of it all at the Grand Lodges.
- Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl - over 20 attractions, including the alpine slide, indy carts, bungee tower, lift-serviced mountain biking, reverse bungee, zip line, batting cages, miniature golf, frisbee golf, rock climbing wall, kid's play zone, scenic sky chair and much more
- Skiing/Boarding - Palmer snow field offers a great summer skiing experience for all from amateurs to Olympians
- Fishing - trout, salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, bass and walleye are available from streams to lakes to the rivers
- Hiking - the Mt. Hood National Forest is home to over one thousand miles of trails! Summertime is time to explore
- Waterfalls & Lakes - picnics, boating or just visiting the lakes and waterfalls is a poplular family activity
- Bird & Wildlife Watching - available year round, this is a great activity to enjoy in the quiet backcountry
- Golfing - choose between 9 and 18-holes at numerous courses in the Mt. Hood area
- Arts & Culture - Government Camp is active in the summer with streetside stands and boutiques
- Historic Mt. Hood Train - an excellent way to explore the Hood River valley for all ages
- Windsurfing - only a short distance to the Columbia River Gorge and a windsurfing mecca
- Mountain Biking - trails for all experience levels are available, from a leisurely ride to extreme downhill
- Climbing Mt. Hood - with a higher snow elevation, there are excellent opportunities to summit Mt. Hood
- Rock Climbing - from training rock walls to real rock faces, this is the area to be for all experience levels
- Horseback Riding - a great family activity for exploring some of the local backcountry
- Canoeing/Kayaking - local lakes such as Trillium provide the perfect place for a relaxing paddle
- Whitewater Rafting - Class I to Class IV, several rivers will get your heart pumping, like the Deschutes River
